Overview
gold is a tax token on BNB Smart Chain, launched through the Flap protocol. A 3% tax on every buy and 3% on every sell is collected, converted to Tether Gold (XAUt), and distributed to holders automatically each cycle, in proportion to their share of eligible supply.
There is no emission schedule and no minting. Every gram distributed originates from trading activity that already happened. When trading is quiet, distributions are small or absent — the protocol has no other revenue source and does not pretend otherwise.
What XAUt is
XAUt is Tether Gold: each unit represents one fine troy ounce of physical gold, held as London Good Delivery bars in Swiss vaults, with published attestations of the backing.
gold is not a gold-backed token. It is a token whose trading revenue buys gold for its holders. The gold you receive is yours, in your own wallet, independent of anything gold does afterward.

One XAUt = 31.1034768 grams, which is why this site displays grams.
How gold reaches you
- Trades are taxed — 3% on buys, 3% on sells, on the bonding curve and DEX alike.
- Tax becomes revenue — collected tokens are liquidated once they cross the protocol's threshold.
- Revenue becomes gold — it is converted to XAUt.
- Holders are credited — pro-rata to every wallet at or above the minimum balance at that moment.
- Gold is sent to you — each cycle, accrued balances above roughly $4 are transferred straight to your wallet. No claim, no gas paid by you, no action of any kind.
Balances below the threshold accumulate and send once they cross it. If you'd rather not wait, any amount — however small — can be claimed manually at any time on Flap's page for this token.
You do not need to connect a wallet, register, or visit this site. Holding is the entire job.
Eligibility
You must hold at least the minimum share balance at the moment of a distribution. Below that, the cycle skips you. No lock-up, no staking. Buying right after a cycle means waiting for the next one — there is no retroactive credit.
Seeing your gold
XAUt won't appear in most wallets until added as a custom token — use the address in section 2. If you've received distributions and see nothing, this is almost always why.
Check any wallet's received and accruing gold on this site's dashboard — no connection required, it's a public read.
Contracts
Verify everything
Nothing here requires trusting us. Every figure is a public read reproducible on BscScan:
- Tax rates and allocation —
getTaxTokenInfoV2(token)on the Tax Token Helper - Any wallet's gold —
getDividendInfo(token, address)on the Tax Token Helper - All-time gold distributed — the dividend contract's cumulative counter
- Gold awaiting distribution —
balanceOf(dividendContract)on the XAUt contract - Dividend allocation and dividend token —
getTaxTokenInfoV2(token)on the Tax Token Helper
Protocol architecture
This token has no custom vault contract. The entire distribution pipeline — tax collection, conversion to XAUt, pro-rata crediting, and automatic sending — runs inside Flap's core protocol contracts. There is no third-party distribution code, no vault admin, and no upgrade key controlling your gold. Verify the configuration yourself with getTaxTokenInfoV2 on the Tax Token Helper.
Risks
- Distributions depend entirely on trading volume. No volume, no gold. No floor, no guarantee, no reserve covering quiet periods.
- The 3% tax applies to you too — a round trip costs roughly 6% before price movement.
- gold is not gold-backed. Its price can go to zero independent of gold. Gold already in your wallet is unaffected; future accrual simply stops.
- Smart contract risk across Flap's core contracts and XAUt itself — two independent systems.
- The tax has a fixed duration. When it ends, distributions stop. The end date is set on-chain at launch — check the token's Flap page for the current schedule.
- Automatic sending depends on the distribution mechanism functioning. If a cycle fails to process, accrued gold remains claimable manually — it is credited on-chain either way.
- Nothing here is financial advice; past rates don't predict future ones.
